By using Investigator Finance you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Information only, not advice
Investigator Finance publishes general information about account providers and rules for Health Savings Accounts, IRAs, brokerage accounts, 401(k)s, donor-advised funds and similar accounts. Nothing here is financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and nothing is a recommendation to open, close, transfer, or invest any account. We are not a bank, broker, or advisor. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.
No warranty on accuracy
We work to keep fees, rates, and guide content correct, but we can’t promise they are complete, current, or error-free. Providers change fees and rules without telling us, and your employer’s plan can differ from a provider’s public account. The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Always confirm details with the provider before you act. See our methodology for how the data is gathered and which figures rest on secondary sources.
Calculator results
The calculator gives rough estimates from the numbers you enter and the simplifying assumptions described on our About page. It is a planning aid, not a prediction of what you will save or earn.
Third-party links
The site links to provider websites, government pages, and other third parties. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, fees, or practices. Some links may earn us a commission; when they do, we label them. See How we make money.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Investigator Finance and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage, including lost money, fees, taxes, or penalties, that results from using the site or relying on what is on it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, and no automated copying of the whole directory. You may quote small portions with a link back to us.
